Featured Wine

#1 Grown Grape

Cabernet
Sauvignon

The classic profile of Cabernet Sauvignon tends to be full-bodied wines with high tannins and noticeable acidity that contributes to the wine’s aging potential. In cooler climates, Cabernet Sauvignon tends to produce wines with blackcurrant notes that can be accompanied by green bell pepper notes, mint, and cedar which will all become more pronounced as the wine ages. In more moderate climates the black currant notes are often seen with black cherry and black olive notes while in very hot climates the currant flavors can veer towards the over-ripe and “jammy” side.

Taste

Full-bodied with loads of flavors. It tops the list of robust red varietals, carrying some of the lushest, thickest sips that will coat most of the mouth and linger. Many describe cabernet sauvignon’s body as unctuous, gravelly, rich, and deep.

Pairings

Our Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with all of our charcuterie boards.  We always have one on tap and also carry many other bottles as well.

Stop in to try one of our Cabernets today.

Events

We hold wine events on the first Tuesday of the month.  At these events, we sample great wines, enjoy snack pairings, good conversation, and wine education.

Makayla’s adventures have changed slightly due to the fires, snow and heat. Cody (our son) will be leaving and she will be joining up with someone she knows. They will be hiking the Oregon coastline trail as the fires have closed the PCT for a while.
